Congregation Kol Emet, in beautiful Yardley, PA, seeks an engaging and experienced Director of Early Childhood Education to lead our Keystone STARS Level 4 preschool program and summer program. Kol Emet Preschool is committed to providing an enriching, safe, and welcoming early learning environment that develops the whole child. Responsibilities:
● Recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating of all preschool and summer program staff
● Supervising registration, recruitment, and outreach efforts with prospective and returning families
● Overseeing the implementation of the comprehensive preschool curriculum and summer program policies regarding conduct, safety, inclusion, and special education
● Proactive and regular communication and community-building with parents, including involvement in planning PTO events and fundraisers
● Coordinating with the Rabbi to design and lead weekly Shabbat Services and holiday programming for preschool
● Providing assistance to all staff responsible for the implementation of appropriate early childhood practices within the preschool program
● Administering strategies designed to help teachers and other professionals optimize children’s learning and development in all domains
● Collaborating with synagogue leadership team, including the Rabbi, the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, to integrate preschool vision, programming, and communication with values and procedures of the synagogue
● Attending weekly meetings with Kol Emet professional staff and periodic meetings with the Board and relevant committee chairs to assess program progress
● Coordinating annual program evaluation
● Assist in developing and then implementing the preschool budget, preschool program plan, annual updates, and professional development plans
● Ensure safety and security, including health and wellness protocols and safety drills
● Recertifications of state licensure(s) and Keystone STARS program

Minimum Qualifications:
● M.A. in Early Childhood Education or similar preferred
● PA Director Credential, or similar
● Minimum 3-5 years teaching experience as an Early Childhood Educator
● Minimum 2-3 years Educational Administration, Leadership, or Supervision
● PQAS certification a plus
● Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Jewish learning and culture
● Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
● Digital skills to support multi-access programming
● Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google docs, and Teams (or similar)
● Ability to learn school applications
● Working knowledge and/or experience with PA Keystone STARS
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
